Fi's Story – Guide of the Heart
Fi is intimately aware of the human conditioning and uses her skills, experience and heartfelt approach to support and inspire people, on an individual basis as well as in groups. Fi changed direction in her life in 2001 and went to University to study Psychology. During this time she also completed a three-year Advanced Therapeutic Counselling Diploma, which opened up a whole new aspect to her life.
Prior to 2001 Fi lived in New Zealand for 19 years and had a career within the Typesetting and Graphic Design world, as a System Manager and Production Manager. She originally trained as a Physical Education Teacher in Edinburgh and has represented both Scotland and New Zealand in Volleyball.
Fi has been meditating daily since 1995 and has studied various Buddhist traditions. She has also worked with Shamans in Peru and Nepal, and from 2005-2015 attended the workshops of Emaho, a Native American Shaman, who taught in Europe.
In 2007 when she was 50, Fi made a commitment to follow her heart’s calling and to fully immerse herself
in her spiritual path. In 2009 her personal journey took a powerful and profound shift when she had a near death experience, while in a coma, in Peru. Fi woke up from the coma in an awakened state, like a new-born child. In integrating back into the body she lost some of the luminosity, but not all. Her intention now is to re-awaken consciously through the body and hold that state for the highest good of All. The spiritual practices and teachings of the Path of ISIS, as well as the Rays of Divine Consciousness practices, have provided Fi with powerful tools to help her awakening process.
Since 2009, Fi has undertaken three Vision Quests, one in Switzerland and two in the USA – in the Inyo Mountains and in Death Valley, California. She has also trained as a Vision Quest Guide and as a Water Pourer for Sweat Lodge Ceremonies.

Coming Home – awakening through the stillness into the living light
Fi's book tells the story of her spiritual awakening out of the ingrained behaviour patterns, thinking, and habits that controlled and directed her life for thirty-eight years, until her first wake-up call at a cinema in 1995. ​
Through the book's five sections and twenty-five chapters, Fi takes the reader on a journey of increasing self-awareness and insight activating the mind, body, spirit, and heart. This knowledge, and the practices and exercises included, are based on Fi's personal experience of awakening, her training as a therapeutic counsellor, her clinical observations with clients, and her awareness of others as a meditation and spiritual teacher.
