"When I was invited by Alley Cat House Publishing to write Discovering Shamanism, I felt a deep joy in my heart.
For many years, I have had the privilege of sharing shamanic teachings with people from different walks of life. I have witnessed how these ancient practices can open doors, change lives and help people rediscover their connection with themselves, the Earth and Spirit.
Shamanism has brought so much beauty into my own life. Through the years, my teachers, both in the physical world and in Spirit, have shown me that the sacred is not separate from our everyday existence.
It is present in the trees, in the wind, in the songs we sing, in the beating of the drum and in the way we walk upon this Earth. My wish in writing this book is to make these teachings accessible to everyone. Fotoula Adrimi
About the Author
Fotoula Adrimi is an internationally recognised shamanic teacher, practitioner and bestselling author, with two decades of experience in shamanic healing, teaching and sacred ceremony.
Originally from Greece and now based in Glasgow, Scotland, Fotoula carries ancestral shamanic teachings from her Greek heritage. She has trained extensively in classic and core shamanism with Sandra Ingerman and studied traditional Himalayan shamanism with Nepalese shaman Bhola Nath Banstola, alongside other indigenous spiritual traditions.
A member of the Global Shamanic Teachers network and the Shaman's Directory, Fotoula has been a teacher with The Shift Network and the co-founder of The ISIS School of Holistic Health Ltd, where she shares shamanic courses, practitioner trainings, sacred ceremonies and ancient spiritual teachings with students in the UK and internationally.
She is also the author of The Golden Book of Wisdom: ancient spirituality and shamanism for modern times, an Amazon UK bestseller, and Sacred Mysticism of Egypt: the ancient path of HEKA initiation.
