Path of ISIS –
Silent Retreat Day and Ceremony

02 February 2020, 09:30-17:00

This day of the mid-winter festival, also known as Imbolc in Scotland, is about harnessing the energy of the sun. At this time of the year, the sun's presence and nurturing light supports growth and physical life.

This is an opportunity for ISIS practitioners to join together and dive deeper into the teachings and practices of the Path of the Living Light.

We start the day by creating an altar and making an offering of our voice, as a way of connection to the sacred.

During the day we will enter a space of silence and meditation, with the aim of purifying our energy bodies and bringing ourselves into a higher state of alignment with the Living Light. We will practice the light language chants, followed by meditations spanning an hour at a time. Participants are encouraged to practice meditating for extended periods before attending this day retreat.

We meet at 9.30 am and prepare to enter into silence. Throughout the day we stay in silence, only chanting the mantras in accordance with the practices. We will end the silence around 15.00.

Following the meditation practices and silence we will go into a space of ceremony and work with the Theodrama of the Pyramid Texts and the ancient Egyptian book of the dead, entitled "Coming Forth by Day". The text for this time of the year is about harnessing the power of the Sun and Sky: The Triumph of Ra and the Blessing of Nut.

The day is open to all initiates and it will be facilitated by Fotoula Adrimi and Fi Sutherland.
