We walk the path of the spiritual practitioner visiting ancient power points and sacred spaces in Nepal and Tibet.

Our journey is the quest of the spiritual seeker, who surrenders to the spiral of life, follows the etheric energy of the land, practises teachings of inner transformation and strengthens the connection to their spirit and Divine power. We will practice and share ancient teachings through story, Buddhist and sanskrit philosophy, mala practice and ancient Himalayan shamanism, to seek deeper understanding and open the gate for spiritual rebirth. Below are some of the places we will be visiting. The pilgrimage will also include shamanic ceremonial work.

The Itinerary

30 August 2022 arrival day in Kathmandu, or you may wish to come a couple of days earlier to acclimatise. We will spend a few days in the city visiting sacred sites before flying to Lhasa.

In Lhasa we will visit:

Jokhang Temple, a Buddhist temple in Barkhor Square in Lhasa. This Temple is considered the most sacred and important Temple in Tibet – the place where the Data Lamas studied.

Drepung Monastery, located at the foot of Mount Gephel, is the largest of all Tibetan monasteries. It was here that the first Dalai Lama was proclaimed and up to the 5th Dalai Lama ruled Tibet from here. Drepung is one of the "great three" Gelug university gompas of Tibet. The other two are the Sera and Ganden Monasteries.

Sera Monastery – The biggest centre of learning which used to have the largest number of monks. Yamantaka chapel is the main and most important shrine of the monastery.

Potala Palace – The administrative and religious centre of Tibet and residence of the Dalai Lamas from the 5th to the 14th.

After a few days exploring Lhasa while we acclimatise to the altitude we will travel to Gyantse –  visits to Pelkor Chode Monastery, the main monastery in the Nyangchu river valley, and Kumbum Monastery – Kumbum means 100,000 images in Tibetan. There are nine levels, 108 cells and 75 chapels in the shrine. Each chapel is decorated with wall paintings, some have various statues of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and deities.

From Gyantse we journey to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. We visit the Tashilunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama, the second most important spiritual leader of Tibet, the reincarnation of Buddha Amitabha, the Buddha of infinite lights. A huge temple complex with hundreds of resident monks.

Then we travel to Sakya Monastery, the seat of the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism. The highlight here is the right turning conch shell, the library, which houses thousands of volumes of sacred Buddhist scripts, and the temple of Tara on the other side of the river.

Our travels take us to Chiu Gompa Monastery, the palace of Guru Rinpoche, at the base of Mt Kailash, near the revered sacred lake, Lake Manasarovar, where we will spend a few days. There is a cave in the monastery where Milarepa and Padmasambhava meditated.

Mount Kailash is also the domain of Shiva. The August full moon one of the most powerful spiritual times to visit the Lake and mountain. We will do the purification ritual by the lake and also the full moon ritual. Here we have a mix of traditions that come together: The Buddhist tradition identifies the mountain as the place of Lama Demchok, eternal bliss Lama. The Shamanic tradition of the Himalayas identifies the mountain also as the domain of Shiva, the enlightened being that dances surrounded by fire, having transformed the basic nature into the enlightened state and the destructor of illusion.

In mountain Kailash we have two options: Some of the participants will visit the sacred lake, the mountain and also the monastery in the area to devote the days in ceremony and spiritual practice. However, for those who are physically fit, they can undertake the circumambulation of the holy mountain. They will be supported by the practices of the rest of the group in the monastery.

We return to Lhasa before flying back to Kathmandu. Departing Kathmandu 21 Sept 2022.

Every step of our journey is guided through spiritual practices and a team of enlightened teachers in spirit that work with Bhola Banstola and Fotoula Adrimi, who have spent time meditating and channelling the guidance and spiritual practices that will bring this pilgrimage together.

The Facilitators

Fotoula Adrimi - channel of the Living Light

Fotoula Adrimi has immersed herself in meditation and Buddhism since 2006. She has studied and received transmissions and empowerments directly from Tibetan Rinpoches. For many years she practiced Bön Buddhism. Her biggest gift is the teachings of the Living Light that come in many forms, including her shamanic work, mantra practice, meditation and The Path of the Living Light/The Path of ISIS which is an extensive body of work that she channels directly from ISIS, the ancient Egyptian Mother.

Fotoula is a channel of enlightened wisdom and ancient beings of light, including awakened Rinpoches who work with her in spirit and come through her to teach her groups. During the pilgrimage Fotoula will be channelling teachings

from these highly evolved beings, as well as sharing stories and leading spiritual practices.

Pilgrimage to Nepal and Tibet

The ISIS School of Holistic Health teacher, Fotoula Adrimi, joins
Himalayan Shaman Bhola Nath Banstola to facilitate a pilgrimage of spiritual rebirth to Nepal and Tibet from 30 Aug-21 Sept 2022

Tibetan Prayer Flags

This pilgrimage is for all spiritual seekers who are called to further their spiritual path in a heartfelt way. If you have an inner calling to take part in this journey and you wish to participate, please email Fotoula Adrimi of The ISIS School of Holistic Health: (info@isis-school.com) to express your interest. Later we will be in touch with details of price etc.

Experience in meditation, spiritual practice and shamanic ceremony is recommended, but not required, as we will guide you through these practices step by step.

Please note that in order to stay in the high vibrational energy, hold the sacredness of the group as well as to avoid the physical effects of altitude sickness, we stipulate that all participants must not consume alcohol or any

recreational drugs while on pilgrimage. Many Lhamas and Shamans may refuse to offer a ceremony or empowerments if they suspect that anyone in the group has consumed alcohol or is under the influence of substances. Despite a popular western view, the Himalayan shamans never use any hallucinogenics in their work.

We ask you to respect their beliefs and do the same.

Accommodation in Nepal and Lhasa is in twin rooms sharing, although a single supplement is available. In other remote places in Tibet there is not always western style accommodation available. There may be times when we have to share in 3s or 4s, or in larger dormitories. This can become as much an adventure for the soul as well as for the mind and body. We go with what is possible and surrender our expectations. Leaving our western comforts for a few days may become part of our spiritual experience!

We retain the right to cancel any course, training or pilgrimage at anytime. If you paid a deposit or a course fee, this will be returned to you, but we are not liable for any other expenses or losses you may occur as a result of a cancellation.
