Residential Shamanic Workshop with Nepalese Shaman, Bhola Bastola
18:00, 27 June – 14:00, 30 June, Scotland
18:00, 27 June – 14:00, 30 June, Scotland
Bhola Bastola, a Nepalese Shaman, will be teaching his indigenous healing and mystical traditions in Central Scotland. Fotoula Adrimi has taken part in a shamanic pilgrimage with Bhola in Nepal and Tibet in 2014.
The Workshop: Two sacred teachings of Nepalese-Himalayan Shamanism
Ma Kali – Mother-reliever of fear and bestower of Shakti & Sacred Naga Medicine.
During these four days of residential retreat, participants will be introduced to the 'mystery and sacred medicine of Nagas’ and the 'Mother-reliever of fear and bestower of Shakti: Ma Kali’.
The depth of wisdom of the powers of feminine deities, honoured in the Nepalese shamanic tradition, will be introduced shamanically and in ceremony. Through journeys, stories, songs and rituals you will be initiated to the three aspects of the Mother Earth Goddess. She is the one who manifested all beings and nature from the void and has the ability to devour disease and time itself. She also sustains Life as Nurturing Mother. Working with the wrathful form of the Goddess—Kali Ma, you will have opportunities to clear karmic burdens from your past incarnations and any burdens from this lifetime. A mandala will be built to honor Kali and we will learn three different ways to meet her.
Journeys to Nagas and ceremonies to honor them to bring balance, within and outside in the world, will be performed. As the keepers of the land, water and subterranean regions and in-between spaces, their role in the well-being and balance between the universe and human beings is very important. Group Naag Puja will take place by a water source for invocation and petition to these spirits.
A "Ceremony of Release and Letting Go" will be followed by a ceremony of joyful celebration as you enjoy a renewal of your shakti or life force energy, that is now free from suffering.
A shamanic Fire Ceremony will take place in one of the evenings.
At the end of the weekend the participants will learn and practice the "process of transfiguration”.
Individual empowerment and protection ritual will be followed by tying Pancha Rangi Dhago(five colored threads around the neck), thus concluding the retreat.

"Bhola is an extraordinary shaman who is carrying down a beautiful tradition that he was initiated into by his grandfather. Bhola is a true example of a shaman who can walk into a room and uplift everyone and transform by his presence of light and love.
