Shamanic Retreat: Initiation through the ancient rite of the Medicine Walk
In the ancient land of Scotland, at the place of Initiation of the early Scottish kings in Kilmartin Glen, we gather to step through the threshold and invoke the rite of the Medicine Walk.
This is a time of our own initiation through Mother Earth and Father Sky, water and fire. We enter in ceremony, supported by our circle to find and/or empower our calling. What has the earth to say to us? Can we listen to the voice of spirit? It will speak to us through the rocks, the birds, the animals, the moon and the sun. It will talk to us through our emotions and songs. We answer the call by stepping over the threshold.
The medicine walk ceremony starts on Friday night and finishes on Sunday morning. In the ceremony we enter the space between the worlds, between the physical and the spiritual. Everything we meet, everything we see, has significance. We go into the wild to bring back the story for the tribe. We go out for ourselves to empower our life purpose. We walk for the earth and all beings, feeling the heartbeat of the Mother under our feet. We rattle, drum and sing sacred songs that take us into the alternative reality.
The maximum number of participants is 8 and advance booking is required.
The ceremony will be held by Shamanic teacher, Fotoula Adrimi, and assisted by Fi Sutherland.
